Some that I have enjoyed lately are: Hero By Mike Lupica, Moon Over Manifest By Clare Vanderpool, and Walk Two Moons By Sharon Creech.

Adventure's in Babysitting

Last week Jen and Fraser went to Hawaii (lucky!!!) and their kids, Anderson, Henry, and Ruthie came to stay in Beaumont. We went over lots during the week to babysit, but it was pretty fun. And when we make it to Hawaii, we know who we'll call!

5K

So I have signed up to run a 5K race next Saturday (I am excited and have always wanted to do one, but never have..Thanks Julie and Jill for the inspiration) but I just found out the race route and now I am pretty nervous as there is quite the hill (a total elevation gain of 55 meters or 180 feet), yikes! I have just been running on a treadmill with no incline, I hope I can survive and will have to start doing some incline this week. Wish me luck!

Oil Sands Here we Come!

Not only our we getting a new truck for work this summer, but a new condo! Haha, well not really. But we are going up to Fort McMurray for the summer. We will stay in a company condo that is furnished and paid for. We even get a little living expense. It will be a fun little adventure. I'm not sure when we leave, but sometime in May all the way to the end of August. So, if you want to come and live for free in our house in Edmonton, come on up, Edmonton is beautiful in the summer!

Brunch

Chris' sister Pam was up this week visiting from Utah. We had a great time with her. She came over to hang out and babysit for me, we did a lot of shopping, and met Chris after school for Oodle Noodle on Friday. Saturday morning before conference Grandma and Grandpa Lamont took us all out for a family brunch at Cora. It was delicious. I had cinnamon raisin brioche in a french toast batter with bacon, eggs, and fresh fruit. Chris had blueberry pancakes with a yummy English style cream. Everyone else had breakfast plates that looked just as good as mine tasted. Here is Macy with Grandma, Aunt Pam, and Aunt Crystal.

Sunny Sunday

We have finally had some warm sunshiny weather this week so today we decided to venture the snow and puddles for a walk. Here is Macy in her stoller sans the carseat carrier for the first time. Such a big girl! Oh, and check out her two teeth.
