Cutting Edge

Last week I got my hair done. I went to a pretty fancy salon (accidentally, I meant to go to their Acadamy) and felt very pampered. It was a little pricy, but I love the cut and the rest of their services.

Soccer Stud

For the last 5 and half months Chris has been playing on a community men's league soccer team. Tonight is their last game. His team started off really strong and were 2nd in the league during the first half of the season. Unfoutunately, the second half wasn't so strong. Chris started playing goalie, and after hurting his wrist moved to defense.

Scraped knees became a regular occurance.

Rubbing it in

More of us on the mountains...just to rub it in a little more.

This is one run we did that was black diamond moguls. Personally I don't think the picture does it justice. It was a steep run, plus there were so many rocks..I think Chris forgot that he was renting and I owed my board!!! Either way, my legs were burning by the end.

Jasper Townsite

On our last day in Jasper we did our traditional walk around the townsite, checking out all of the gift shops (we didn't buy anything this year) and stopping for lunch.

This is me outside of the Bear's Paw Bakery which is one of our favorites. They have absolutely the best sticky cinnamon buns I have ever had, and I've had a lot of good cinnamon buns!

Having Fun

So last week was reading week for me so Chris took some time off work to have a little fun. We visited the Leishmans in Lethbridge and played with the boys. Then we headed to Jasper National Park, skiied and snowboared at Marmot Basin, and all around enjoyed ourselves.

Having fun. Chris got me a new coat and snowpants. I felt spoiled, but they were on sale. They kept me good and warm.

Mardi Gras

Today is Fat Tuesday and Lent begins tomorrow. I've decided if the Lemon's can do it, so can I, and I am giving up all chocolate and desserts. Wish me luck!!
The last two days have been snowy and more snowy. We just came back from the mountains where they hadn't had any snow for a couple weeks and it was ice and rock (my poor board :( ), and now as we drive to work and school it is like those thick white flakes are mocking us. Ah well, at least it isn't brown and ugly around.

It's been a busy week for both of us, and will only get busier. I have midterms these next two weeks, and Chris just got a new calling yesterday...executive secretary.
