Here we go...

Long time no blog! Summer has come and we have been livin' it up! I have so many pictures that I just have been putting off going through them. But it's only going to get worse, so here we go.

Before we left for our summer vacation to Winnipeg and Kenora I did a pretty good job on getting totally updated with the blog. Here are just a few pictures from before we left.

 Macy ready for preschool one morning. It was lovely outside, but she insisted on the Dora fleece scarf (courtesy of cousin Sarah!), so I insisted on a picture!

 Macy and her preschool teachers, Ms. Randene (above) and Ms. Melanie (below) on her last day of preschool. Macy had a great year. She loved going, loved her teachers, and made great friends (a few of which we have gotten together with a couple of times this summer already). She grew as a person, increasing her vocabulary and understanding of the world around her, and developed more social skills. It has been fun to watch her grow, age 3 to 4 has seen lots of changes. Congrats on finishing a year of preschool Macy!

Slip n' Slide

Macy got some real good distance on the slip n' slide. She just kept sliding and then running around and sliding again. All while screaming, 'It's freezing, it's freezing, I'm so cold!!' with a huge grin on her face and laughter in her voice. It must not have been too cold as she kept going and we had to shut it down when it was time to go.

Rachel gives me the best smiles and always brightens my day with them. I just love her!

The High Level Trolley

Aunt Pam and her kids were in town the last couple of weeks. Macy had so much fun playing with her bud Paisley. Last Monday we took a trip on the High Level Trolley train with them and Grandpa to visit Dad at work.

Chris' office is right at the end of the stop. We went up to meet him, walked over to pick up lunch at Subway, and had a little picnic lunch. Rachel's not in the picture as she's being held and admired by one of Chris' work mom.

 Running around while we waited for the train to pick us back up. It was a beautiful day out, and fun to see Dad in the middle of the day!

Outside!

It is SO nice to be able to play outside again. It's fun to see the neighbours again, it's a great to feel the fresh air, and it's great to burn the excessive energy a certain girl I know has!

These are from the last month or two, and give you a little idea of what our backyard looks like.

 Chris and Macy love to have fires. Macy has been a great help with yard work and Chris and her would spend all their time out there if they could.

 This is a dead tree in our yard, if you look closely you can see a hole which is where two little birdies have made their home. I was trying to get a picture of one of them poking their head out, but no luck. Sometimes we can just sit in the backyard and watch them fly in and out over, and over again.

May Long Weekend BBQ

Our May long weekend was busy with family, house work, birthday parties, and friends. The weather was great. On Monday our friends Daley and Desiree came over for a BBQ. My plate looked so good, I  had to take a picture! Dessert was rhubarb pie and ice cream. Everything was so delicious!

Mother's Day

Macy did a great job singing in church on Mother's Day. I'm lucky to be her Mom.

Rachel also gave me a Mother's Day gift of sleeping in until 8!
