More Snow

You are going to get a lot of summer and outside pics soon, so here is the last snow one. All the snow had melted and we had really great weather. We set up the trampoline and brought out the summer toys, then the first week of May we got a huge dump that took a couple days to melt. Macy had fun with it though!
 Snow slide!

Easter

Easter weekend turned out to be a cold one. On Good Friday we went to the new rec center by our old house that had recently opened. We went early so it  wasn't too busy and the pool was great. They had an awesome waterslide that Macy could go on by herself, which she did many times. We played in their indoor playground after and then left for lunch and naps at home.
On Saturday our friend's the Fixsen's had extra tickets to the Easter event at Fort Edmonton Park. Usually they have a big hunt, but this year they changed it and it was just a scavenger hunt geared towards older kids. It was cold, and totally not worth it, and we even got in for free!

They did have one indoor activity of decorating cookies, Macy enjoyed the cookie, and Rachel and I enjoyed the warmth!

In the afternoon we decorated eggs to get ready for Easter Sunday.
Easter morning. Macy loved the egg hunt, and was great with helping Rachel too. We did Easter dinner at home with just our family, ham, scalloped potatoes, veggies, and buns. Probably something yummy for dessert, but I don't remember!
And here's just a funny one of Rachel (17th months)

Spring Snow

You know it's going to come, no matter how much you wish it doesn't, so you might as well make the most of it!

Growing Up

Both girls are growing up so fast, I really need to do more frequent updates.
Rachel is already almost 17 months! Not too long and she'll be in nursery. She is still growing in length and weight and is a great eater. She took her first step January 1, 2015, but didn't start walking until February. She is quick to move now and can go up and down the stairs too. She loves to dance when there is music, even if she is just in her high chair or car seat. She is looking less like a baby and more like a toddler. Her personality is really starting to show and she keeps us on our toes!
Macy had her hair cut this morning, so here is a before and after shot. Whenever I stop and really look at her I can't believe how big and grown up she is. She is exactly what her shirt says, 'Happy go Lucky' Always smiling and loving life. She is still in preschool and enjoys her class and teachers very much. She is thriving in primary too, I'm always surprised at how much she knows. She loves singing and we hear the songs she sings at Church all the time. She is excited for summer, her birthday, and going to the lake. Hard to believe she's starting kindergarten in September!
One of her favorite shows is 'My Little Pony', she got Twilight Sparkle below on Valentine's Day and loves playing with her and Rainbow Dash. She is a horse girl for sure and is excited to go riding for her birthday this summer.

Catching Up

The weather is getting warmer and we couldn't be happier. A couple weeks ago it was beautiful, but was followed by a pretty big snow storm, Macy was so upset when she woke up to the snow claiming she wanted summer!
With the warmer weather we are happy to be outside again!
Rain boots are the best! She also has some splash pants which were perfect when it was warm, but there was still snow and lots of puddles!
Its fun to see how much joy they get from going down the slide!
Rachel is loving the chance to explore more of the world, unfortunately she mostly wants to explore the mud and dirt..oh well!
Last Saturday we went to the library in the morning since Macy had no swimming. We usually go during the week, and didn't know they have a great stay and play center in one of the rooms. Both girls had so much fun, it was hard to get them to leave. We'll definitely be visiting again!
Macy loved being the chef and couldn't help herself from dancing and singing!
Now that I've pulled my camera out, hopefully I'll take more pictures and keep up to date!

Family Day and St. Patrick's Day

These are the very few pictures I have of us since Christmas.
Family Day was in February. We went early to Millennium Place to go swimming. When we were done they had other activities going on like face painting and a huge bouncy castle slide. We had some fun playing and then went to lunch at McDonald's and played even more in their play place. After naps and an early dinner at home we went back to Millennium to play in the indoor playground which is Rachel's ultimate favorite place to go to!
St. Patrick's day we had green pancakes! Macy was nervous to try them, but finally did and gobbled hers up!
 Rachel, 16 months already!

My Sleepover with Natasha

The end of January my awesome friend Natasha and I planned a girls night. Chris was equally awesome and took Macy and Rachel and spent the night at his parents in Beaumont so Natasha and I could have a sleepover and ultimate girls night. We ate Lings Lings (a favorite of ours), watched Harry Potter extras, and pulled two mattresses into the family room to spend the night. The next day we went to lunch and had an afternoon of shopping. It was so fun, and something I hope to repeat again!
Natty had cool animal one piece pajamas, luckily Macy had an animal mask I could borrow to fit in!
This is our typical 'vacation shot' (you know how now everyone takes shots of their feet when their vacationing, usually on the beach or some cruise). Isn't Harry so little!
