Reading and Teaching

Since I've had a lot of time lately, I have been reading a lot. I finally just finished the Percy Jackson series. I had to wait a while for the last book from the library and finally got it yesterday. Such a good series. I also have just finished 'Handle With Care' by Jodi Picoult. It was an interesting read. She is the author of 'My Sister's Keeper' which I recently read and saw the movie (stars Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin), and I think I liked a little better than 'Handle with Care'.

However, I should be having less time to read because I just got hired as a substitute for the Edmonton Public School board. I have my first gig tomorrow and it is at a school I used to volunteer at, so I even know the teacher. I am excited, and pretty nervous too, but so glad to be employeed! Wish me luck!
