Desserts

It's been just about 2 weeks since Lent started, and suprisingly I haven't gone into withdrawal yet. I have been eating lots of raisins, craisins, fruit-to-go etc to get the sweet craving. Last week we had the missionaries over and I served fruit compote for desset (warmed fruit with a little brown sugar and butter). They liked it. So I'm wondering what other healthy desserts you guys may have made or tried??

I do a warm berry compote with a little bit of sugar and corn starch. I put it in a wonton wrapper that I coat with Pam spray, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and put in a cupcake tin and bake until it turns light brown (about 2-4 min). I put the compote in the little wonton cup and put a little bit of whiped cream on top and put chocolate shavings on it. It really has very little sugar and no fat! Ken, Patti and John have all had it. i don't think my description makes sense sorry.

it sounds good...but somehow with the whipped cream, chocolate shavings, cinnamon and sugar, i'm not sure how healthy it would be!!

It may not be 100% healthy...but it was 100% DELICIOUS!!

Well, I would consider less than a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, a dollop of fat free cool whip, and less than one chocolate chips worth of shavings per serving just as healthy as butter and brown sugar.

We do yogurt parfaits. Vanilla yogurt with berries/bananas and granola.
