May Long

Last weekend was the May long weekend for us Canadians. It turned out that Chris didn't have to work, so we went camping from Saturday to Monday. The weather was great. Saturday was almost +30 C. It rained a little Sunday morning and was kinda windy, but considering some May long weekends it snows, I was grateful. We were next to some rowdy 18 year olds, which got a little trying, but you take what you can get I guess.

Chris and I with red faces and gross camping hair.

Just in case you forgot what we look like, some close ups. I did get my hair cut. I'll have to post nicer hair pictures later.

They had this large chess board, which I kicked Chris' butt on. It was pretty cool. We had a few on lookers, but nobody that stayed and watched, which was good, cause we definitly aren't chess masters.

Chris sad, cause I beat him. Notice his fallen king?!

Me, victorious. Yes I know I'm very white. In some countries fair skin is quite desirable.

My delicious s'more. I LOVE campfire s'mores. Once the cookbook is finished you will see I've submitted it as a recipe. This one I'm devouring is actually a double s'more....oops, I'm drooling on Chris' keyboard.
And here is Chris with his fire. It was pretty big for a while. It was his baby.

Heritage

This is the building Grandpa Cutts was baptized in. It is similar to the Acadamy Road Chapel. The YSA use it now, and there is no longer a baptisimal font. They renovated the inside just last year and it looks very nice. It has been deemed a historic building by the city, so they couldn't do any renovations on the outside structure. It is also located on the infamous Whyte Ave!

Notice the snow!! At the end of April!!

Days of Our Lives

I forgot about these pictures until yesterday. We had a fun time when Richard visited. No waterpark, but still entertaining.

One night we had stakes and potatos and salads and fried peppers and onions. It was very tasty.

Richard was very much in to pondering and scratching his "beard" I thought this was a good shot of him.

This would have been I think a week after he stopped shaving.

Not really sure what Chris is thinking here, but notice the Minnesota shirt. And yes, we are very excited for Minnesota 2008 trip. Hopefully the car is too. As for how life is, very busy. Work is always busy. I'm in a new department which is a thousand times busier. I like that the day goes by faster, but it is tiring. Chris has a 2008 Chev Silverado he loves. Aside from having to train a new girl, work is great for him. Its nice to be on 'holidays'.

Mother's Day

We got tulips in our ward which I really like. One of mine wasn't even open when I got it, but started to open today. They are so pretty and 'springy'!

Prune Fingers

Tonight for FHE we went swimming at Chris' sister's apartment building. They have a pretty big pool and it was fun to be with everyone and be active. Chris's sister Jen and her family are moving to Lethbridge this weekend so it was nice to do something with them. Hopefully we get to visit them this summer, plus Jen's in-laws have a pretty nice cabin in Waterton, so I'm hoping we make it down there too.

New Look

I figured maybe I should change the title of my blog to fit both me and Chris since it's about the both of us and our life, so I updated the est. date to 2007. I was also in the mood for a little change, so I'm playing around with the template. I'm sure it'll change again in the future, keeps life spicy.
