Time to Relax

We hope you all enjoyed your holidays as much as we did. As always, we ate way too much, but it was fun and delicious. Chris still has two weeks off, so we are looking forward to finally staying home and relaxing together. We will post more Christmas pics soon. Here is Macy enjoying her Dad's stocking goodies, particularly his toothbrush!

Soccer Victory

I forgot to mention in my last post that Chris has finished up the Fall Indoor Soccer Season and his team came first in their league! It was a great championship game that they won in a shoot out. Macy and I attended as cheerleaders. Congrats Chris!

Christmas Is Coming

Only 11 days till Christmas! I am excited. I am almost ready, but as always, it has been fun wrapping, and decorating, and card making, and baking. I used to always wonder at how people got it all done, but now that I don't work full time (not that Macy isn't work 24/7, but it's a little different) I realize a little more how people do it. Some of the baking I've done are Snicker Doodle's, Chocolate Crinkles, Peanut Butter and M&M cookies, and Oatmeal and M&M cookies. We also have received homemade chocolates and homemade Almond Rocha - which was so delicious that I think I will try making it next year.
In other news, Macy had her shots yesterday. She has got a little fever from them, but otherwise she was great. She cried a little, and then was back to smiling and charming all the ladies around. She weighs in at 12.6 lbs. She is just below the 25th percentile for weight, but at the 50th for height. Tall and skinny, every girl's dream!

I hope you are all enjoying the Christmas season. Happy Holidays from the Lamonts!

Cousins!

A few more photos from our visit to Claresholm (it's a small town about an hour south of Calgary).
Anderson may look happy in this picture, but we had to force him to hold Macy and take the picture.

Santa Claus Parade

Last weekend Macy and I headed down to Claresholm, Alberta with Grandma Lamont to visit the Leishmans. We had a great weekend and on Saturday we went to the Fort McLeod Annual Santa Claus Parade. Apparently it is the biggest one in Western Canada. It was great! The weather was nice, the parade wasn't too long, they handed out candy, and best of all we got to see Santa! I would go again.

Waiting for the parade to start! Cousins Henry, Anderson, and Ruthie, and Auntie Jen. Macy is under Ruthie in the double stroller.

Hanging out!
So excited for the candy! One of the floats was for an 'Eden's Funeral Home' and they even threw out individually packaged mints with their name on it. I kept one for Eden's sake.

Ruthie all bundled up.

Macy and Grandma Lamont.
Some of the fun floats. I didn't get a good picture of Santa, but he was on a good float. The Grinch also came to the parade and he looked pretty cool.

Daddy Daughter

A good Daddy and Daughter shot.

Poor Macy has been a little sick with a cold this week, which is hopefully going away. Chris had Thursday and Friday off and we enjoyed having him around. We rented 'Grown-Ups' the movie and had a good laugh. We still have no snow on the ground and are having great November weather. Only one week until Harry Potter 7 Part One comes out and we already have our babysitter booked; thanks Grandma Lamont!

Macy Visits Winnipeg

It was really nice to be able to make it out to Winnipeg in October for Grandma Cutts' funeral. It was a very nice funeral and I was glad I could be with so much family. Macy was an excellant traveler. She was great on the plane, she slept well the whole week, and didn't even mind being bathed in the kitchen sink!
Unfourtunately I didn't take many pictures, but here a few of Macy and the friends she has.
This is one of many similar shots of Begonia holding a sleeping and very content Macy.
Hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's.
Macy and Eden.
Eden is such a good helper with Macy and always made sure she had her pacifer when needed. She also dressed and helped changed many a diapers with Grandma.

Thanks for having us Grandma and Grandpa!

What a wonderful girl!

Well Macy is three months already and we still love her, so I guess we'll keep her! She's more like 2.5 in these pictures, but you get the idea of her cuteness. She is such a welcome addition to our family. She is a very happy baby and gives away smiles all the day long. She likes to talk a lot to us and holds her head up really well. She is a good sleeper and despite what Grandpa Cutts might say, she sleeps best when she is all wrapped up and warm. She is only 3 months, but has been on an airplane and to a funeral. She eats well and is a growing baby. Keep up the good work Macy!

My Project

Since Macy was born I have been putting what little spare time I have had building something with lego. In one of the TV shows I enjoy (Stargate) there is a ship called the Daedalus. My first attempted at building it was not color coordinated as much as one would like so I built another one that was a bit more similar in color. The first one was around 2 feet long and made up of around 2000 lego blocks of different size and color. My second model is exactly one inch short of 4 feet long, 2 feet at the widest part, and 12 inches tall. I estimate it to be close to 5000 pieces and they are mostly grey. This post is mostly for Calab, I was thinking if anyone was really good at photoshop we could put him in the picture and send it in for Lego to put him in the monthly magazine.

This is a picture of what I was trying to make.
This is the final product.

Any suggestions as to what I should build next?

Easy Halloween Craft

I came up with this little craft while putting my halloween decorations up this year. I already had the window sticker, frame, and some patterned paper. I like using the shadow box, but it would probably work on any frame. After halloween is over, just remove the sticker and I can use the frame with a
christmas window sticker and christmas paper. So easy!

Macy's Weekend

We had a lot of fun and did a lot of things while Grandma and Grandpa and the Tom Cutts family were visiting. I am not the greatest at taking pictures, so before they left Mom and Dad they uploaded their pictures on to my computer. Since blogger has been user unfriendly when posting pictures lately, these pictures are in no particular order, but I'm sure you can match the picture to the event. This is what Macy's weekend consisted of:

Grandma, Grandpa, Tom, Julie, and Eden arrived late Thursday night, Sept. 23rd. On Friday we went for lunch at Oodle Noodle and ate outside at a park. We went on the High Level Bridge Trolley ride, the guys walked around the U of A campus and we made personal pizza's for dinner. Later that night Grandma and Grandpa babysat Eden and Macy while Tom, Julie, Chris and I went out for a date. We went to a European Cafe, had desserts, and great time visiting. On Saturday Tom and Chris went paintballing in the morning (sorry, no battle wound pictures). We all went to the West Edmonton Mall, saw the fire breathing dragon and mall sites, and then went to the waterpark. That was a lot of fun. Thanks a lot Grandma and Grandpa! We came home tuckered out and hungry and ate BBQ hamburgers and fries. Sunday was Macy's big day. We started out with a delicious brunch, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, friend cinnamon apples, and orange juice. Church was at 1pm. The blessing was very nice, good work Chris. Those in the circle were Chris, Grandpa Cutts, Grandpa Lamont, Uncle Fraser, Uncle Tom, and Uncle Steve. After church we had family (Grandma and Grandpa Lamont and Aunt Crystal) over for dinner. We ate crock pot BBQ pork on buns, greek salad, chips, veggies and dip, and fruit salad with chocolate chip cookies, junk bar, puffed wheat squares and cream puffs for dessert. Another delicious meal! It was a great weekend. Thank you for all the family that came. We love having company and everyone and more are welcome back anytime!

Eden spent a lot of time sitting by Macy and making sure she was happy!
Some of the food from Sunday's dinner.

I don't really know what she is doing?? I think maybe she was spinning around on the ottomen.
I particularly like the facial expressions of Eden and Macy, perhaps this is when they found out they were going be babysit by Grandpa!

Some sort of joke going on here...
Looking good Tom.
