Three Cheese Chicken Penne

We went to Moxie's earlier this month for dinner with Chris' company and I wasn't very happy with our food, I thought, I can cook better then this, and so I decided to try some new dishes. Chris' order of a Penne pasta dish inspired me to try this recipe I found online, Three Cheese Chicken Penne. We had it today and it was delicious! Way better than what we had at Moxie's. Try it, it is easy and fast and so good.

Variety is the spice of life..

And I fear that Macy's life isn't spicy enough, well, only in the food department. So, I am soliciting baby food suggestions. What are some good snacks and meals I can give her? (She's 10.5 months). She loves foods she can eat herself, and I love when they aren't too messy. Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated, espeically by Macy!

Bottles and bibs, booties and more, that's what a baby shower is for!

Before we left for Winnipeg and Fort McMurray I had a baby shower for Aunt Pam while she was visitng in Edmonton. It was a lot of fun to plan and do, and spend time with Pam and good family and friends.
The set up. She got a pretty good haul!
These were so easy to make, out of tissue paper, and I think they looked great!
Close up on the cake I did, I wasn't totally happy with how it turned out, but oh well, it tasted good!
The snacks. There was definitly plenty of food, but whats a party if there isn't leftover food?!
Aparently these days where I live it isn't the trendiest to play shower games, but we did anyway, because I love them! We played a great memory style game with candy bars. It was an idea I got from Alicia, thanks! There were a lot of laughs! Pam is due July 29th and having a girl. We are excited for another baby in the family!

A Macy Update

This girl is on the move! I can't remember what it was like when she was stationary and rolling over was her biggest accomplishment. She is a crawlin' all over the place and cruising along the furniture, walls, and doors like a pro. She is a real delight and so fun to watch as she explores the world around her.
A bathtime pic.
I don't really know what this look is all about.
Her classic crazy eye face. We get this alot!
Oh Macy, we just love ya!

Father's Day

Well I think we had a nice relaxing Father's Day, but I guess you would have to check with Chris to see if he agrees. We celebrated Dad with a blueberry pancake breakfast before church and then a delicious meal after church of chicken wrapped in bacon with BBQ sauce and melted cheese, mango salsa, wild rice, and a ceaser salad. It was good! For dessert we had brownie and whipped cream. We went for a drive in the evening as we continue to explore Fort McMurray. Happy Belated Father's Day to all you Dad's!

Grandpa Has the Best Toys!

These two take their job seriously.
Getting ready for the fun part!
That was great! Thanks Grandpa!

Spoiled Much?

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Cutts is the best! Grandma does basically anything and everything Macy wants. She walks and talks and plays with her all day. Grandpa gives Macy anything and everything she doesn't even know she wants, like french fries, pizza, and illegal tractor rides. Grandma also cleans, and dresses, and changes diapers, which is the fun part for me, as I get a break from it.
Thanks for having us!
