Lego Shoes

Recently Macy's Uncle Steve and Aunt Crystal went down to Utah to visit her Aunt Pam and Uncle Spencer. Well, they came back bearing some gifts, including Lego shoes. You heard me right. Check out these pumps!
Can you tell who is more excited?
A little big, but will be perfect for walking. Thanks Steve and Crystal!

Macy goes Swimming

Last Monday for the Family Day holiday we went swimming with Grandma and Grandpa Lamont and Uncle Steve and Aunt Crystal. It was Macy's third time swimming and she is really starting to enjoy it. She was even dunked under water and didn't even mind.

These floater seats are great.

Good Books

I am in the middle of reading this trilogy, the first book being Poison Study. I loved the first book, and am almost done the second, Magic Study, and loving it as well. I am always in a better mood when I'm reading a good book!

New Hair

I pretty much never get my hair done, so I was really looking forward for this. It is kind of a big change for me, much blonder, but I like it.
Glad that I don't have a bald spot.

Lent

I gave up chocolate and desserts for lent, starting last Wednesday. This picture is from Tuesday night. I assure you I went through withdrawal.

Winter Wear

Taken about a month ago, but doesn't it just remind you of "The Christmas Story"?!

Winnipeg Rye

When we were in Winnipeg and Headingley over New Years we were at Grandma's house a lot (tangent: I took a bath in Grandma's awesome tub! It was great. I waited until it was pretty full and then hopped over the door and into it. Even though Dad warned me not to put the bubble bath in until the end, I was a little early with it and put it a little too much in. With the jets running there were just more and more bubbles, until probably the top 4 inches were bubbles. Anyone could have walked into the bathroom and I would have been completely covered!). While there I was thinking about how we used to have corned beef cut on Grandma's meat slicer with toasted rye bread for a delicious corn beef sandwich. So when I got back to Edmonton and was at the grocery store I went to buy some corn beef and rye bread to satisfy my craving. I grabbed one bag, and then saw another that was labeled 'Winnipeg Style'. Apparently Winnipeg rye is pretty famous. Either way, my corn beef sandwich was very satisfying!
