Doesn't Only Happen On TV!!!

So for a quick update, Chris and I have moved in to our new home and finally see lots of floor space! The move went really well. We had great help and it only took two loads (with a van and a trailer). We will post pictures soon. As for what doesn't only happen on tv or in the movies, during the move I had to stop at the bank. As I was headed back to the car a city bus zoomed past me, through a large puddle, and splashed me from head to toe! I didn't even see it coming! I was soaked with dirty street water!! And to top it off, we were headed to the apartment, and all my clothes were already at the house, so I just had to wait it out. At least they were thin pants that dried relatively quickly, sheez......

Some Deep Fried Fun of Our Own

During biggest loser we had a growing list of foods and meals we were going to eat once it was done, last night we had one of those meals, Navajo tacos (deep fried bread dough with taco toppings). It was so delicious. We had some friends over to eat with us and all enjoyed the meal and the desset - deep fried bread dough with butter, honey, powdered sugar, or jam. We also had a night of playing rockband. Our friends have two little kids, 3 yrs, and 1.5 years, and they loved banging on the drums and singing in the mic. It was great to have the 'no fail' mode on, altough I have to say they did better than I would have thought. Anyway, I'm debating if I want to weigh myself on Sunday, I've eaten alot this week, but kept up my exercising, so maybe it won't be that bad, but still, I don't know....

No Vaccancy!

We have had three vacancies in our building and I have finally filled them all. My hope was not to scare the new managers off with a bunch of work for them to do. I think both Chris and I are very happy to be done the managing. It was well worth the savings, but nothing we will miss.
And since a good posting always has a picture, this is the homemade Ham and Pineapple pizza we had during conference. It was made using Julie's pizza dough recipe and was very delicious!

A Site for Sore Eyes

After weeks of melting, sun, t-shirts, and even shorts, this is what we woke up to this mourning, not a pleasent picture.

Easter Festivities

We had a great Easter weekend. On Friday we met up with our friends at the park for a camp fire, hot dogs, and goodies. I also brought ants on a log to have something healthy. We had a fun game of touch football until we were interrupted by rain. Other than the rain, it was a beautiful day. Saturday was probably the worst day because it was the last of Lent and Biggest Loser. I honestly don't think I could have gone another week, I was dreaming about chocolate and food and was beginning to go crazy without it. I think Chris is just as glad that it is over too and I'm not so cranky. Sunday morning I had a well rounded breakfast of corn pops and peanut M&Ms. The Easter Bunny also made a stop at our place as you can see from the picture above. Chris gave a talk in Sacrament meeting which was very good. We went to the Lamont's for a delicious turkey dinner and Death by Chocolate (which I brought) for dessert. Now I have to get down to business and really study for my finals, wish me luck.

Accurate Study?

Today I volunteered for this research study for the UofA Business department. It turned out that one of the survey's was all about wieght loss, dieting, self-efficacy, and goals. I'm not sure if my survey is really that accurate seeing it is at the end of Lent and biggest loser. Any other time I'm not sure if I would have been so confident in my answers or look so good on paper. Oh well, I hope I didn't mess up their study. Oh, and I got $10 for doing it, so not so much a volunteer thing....

House Pictures

We've been by our place a couple times this weeks, and here are a few pictures of the interior.

Me in the living room.

This one is kind of dark, but it's just so you get an idea of what it looks like.

Chris and his nice new jacket he got for free from his company.

The kitchen. Dark cabinets.

Me on the deck. The hill will be good for sledding.

Looking down at our neighbours lots.

The back of the building.

April 27th is coming up fast. We are excited!!

A Stamping Natural

On Monday for FHE we made bookmarks reminding us how to liken the scriptures to ourselves with ideas from the March Ensign. All I did was print out the points. Chris chose the colours, cut and pasted, and stamped the back. It was a sneaky little way for me to get him to do crafts with me.

Here are our bookmarks. Just to clarify, Chris did everything for his, and I did the assembly and stamping for mine.

Chris went with the ever present 'In the Wilderness' theme. Whether your lost, wandering, or camped out, it's a regular in the scriptures.
