Mother and Daughter

Well, all of my visitors have left and it is just Macy and me now during the day. I had such a great time with both Mom and Jill and the time flew by. Not only was their spoiling great, but so was their company. Thank you both for coming and you are welcome again any time!

And the winner is...

Congratulations Sarah! She was the closest to guess Macy's date of birth. Sarah guessed August 2nd (only 9 hours off), which was by far the closest and she even had the gender correct. Sarah's prize is in transit via special delivery air mail.

It's a Girl!

Aunt Jill arrived on Wednesday and has continued the spoiling that Mom started when she was here. Unfourtunately Jill's luggage didn't arrive until late Thursday night, but we were glad when it did because it in came lots of baby girl clothes and accessories. Now Macy really looks like a girl, and a cute one at that! Lucky Macy has such a nice Aunt who holds her and changes her and feeds her (by feeding her mom:)
This is a yawn, not a scream.

Previous to Aunt Jill's arrival, this was pretty much her only girl outfit..it was her coming home from the hospital outfit.

First Day at Church

Macy's first day of church was actually last Sunday (August 8th). We only stayed for Sacrament
and she was great while we showed her off her cuteness!
She continues to love the fetal position.

Before Baby

Before Macy came Chris and I tried to do as many summer activities as we could that would be much harder to do with a new baby. We went to an Edmonton Capitals baseball game. This year Chris didn't catch a fly, but the team did much better and won. It was a good game and fun to watch. After the game they showed 'Rookie of the Year' on the field and gave out free popcorn. The movie was extremely cheesy, but it was fun to be on the field.
Just Chris and I went to the game, but we ran into Natasha and another old friend on the field, which was a fun suprise.
We also went to my favorite summer event, 'Taste of Edmonton'. This is our fourth year going and it was another tasty year. Chris is able to get more tickets for cheaper through the social club at his work. It seemed like the theme this year for what we got was anything deep fried. It fills you up, but isn't the healthiest. Among the dishes we tried were Kung Pao (spelling??) chicken, ginger beef, sunshine chicken and rice, East Indian chicken with garlic naan bread, chow mein, fresh fruit and cream snow cone, mango sorbet sandwich, and chocolate covered strawberries. I look forward to going again next year!
This is just a 38 week picture of me with my new haircut. It is nice to be rid of that belly and have a few more clothes in the wardrobe to choose from!

Birthdays

The summer is a busy month full of birthdays and lots of cake for our little family.
My delicious angel food cake made by Chris. It was so good!
Macy's birthday...no cake, but we'll fix that next year.
Chris and his Skor Cake.
Even though it was Chris' birthday, Macy got the gift basket from Chris' work.
