The Adventure Continues in Lino Lakes, MN

This one makes me laugh so hard, I don't know why the sad faces! Perhaps because I made them stop playing for a minute to take a picture!
We traveled back Sunday night, caravaning with Tom's family to their home in Lino Lakes. We had the best week just relaxing and focusing mostly on cousin time! We went to a Minnesota Twins baseball game, celebrated Macy's 8th Birthday, and Rachel and Macy went to Park Camp with Henry, Alice, and Eden.
Our first Major League Baseball game.
August 1st Macy turned 8! It was fun to be with cousins, making it feel a little more special.
Henry, Alice, Rachel, Macy, Eden, and Tessa.
The day was extra special as we went to get Macy's ears pierced!! Her cousins came along and got theirs done too, even I had mine redone as they had grown in, making it an exciting outting!
We got a babysitter for Henry, Peter, and Tessa, making it all about these cute girls.
 Feeling nervous!
Alice, the youngest, was the bravest and went first! No tears, no fears!
Then it was Eden, then Macy. She had a little scream and some tears, but as soon as she saw those pretty pearls in the mirror she was in love!
Showing off new earrings.
We went out for pizza and pop for Macy's birthday dinner. Followed by ice cream treats back at Tom & Julie's for dessert.
We got one cupcake, so we could sing and blow out candles!
The girls were so lucky to be able to join Eden, Alice, and Henry at their park program. Julie and I loved the afternoons with only Tessa and Henry and had fun shopping and going for lunch.
This picture was so good, they even used it to advertise for the program this year!
The weather got a little cloudy but it didn't stop us. We had fun one afternoon at the beach. Tessa and Peter just loved playing in the sand.
Living the life!

Girls Gone Wild! Summer Trip 2018

Ahh, we had such an amazing summer last year! Great memories and many adventures. On July 24th the three girls and I packed in the van and headed to Sunset Island, Lake of the Woods Ontario.
We broke up the long drive and spent one night in Regina, SK. The girls were great in the van. We stopped for bathroom breaks in Lloydminster, AB and then to stretch and run around just outside Saskatoon, SK at our usual spot by the Tee Pee. When we arrived at the Hotel, a Best Western, the girls got little welcome gifts! We grabbed some dinner, swam in the pool, and called it a night.
We were so excited to meet up with cousins the next day. We arrived at the Island just after dinner. This was our first time to Sunset Island and the pictures did not disappoint! The views were amazing, there was so much space inside and out to all be together. I loved the large dining room where we could all sit for meals. I would go back.
The James Cutts and Tom Cutts families were already there along with Grandma and Grandpa. Sadly the weather wasn't the greatest to start, but it warmed up and we had a great stay. We also loved the hot tub for those cool days!
Grandma, Tessa, Rachel and Henry!

 Lake snacks!
Love this one of Alice, Tessa, and Henry. This must have been before we went out on Grandpa's wild ride and Alice and Henry went flying off the tube!!
 Sharing the wheel!
The girls were able to go out on the kayaks by themselves and paddle all the way around the island.
Julie, Jamie, and I got to sneak away for a couple of hours to shop and walk around Kenora. I love matching fun!
Just before heading out. This is still my phone wall paper. Love it!
After swimming, tubing, an amazing knee board show by Uncle James, kayaking, canoeing, playing with cousins, and hot tubing, we left Sunday morning, July 28th and caravan-ed with the Tom Cutts family to Lino Lakes, Minnesota for the next part of our adventure!

Macy's 8th Birthday Party

We celebrated Macy's birthday early in July. It was a "Camping" theme that started outside and in our tent with some games, and then got rained out and moved inside. Macy has lots of great friends who came to celebrate with her!

Starting the Summer off Right!

We hosted our 3rd Annual Backyard Games. This is a favorite of mine. I love the "friendly" competition. It was a cool and rainy start of July so I was worried we would have to cancel, but the weather cooperated and we had a great time. Sadly I don't have a picture, but Chris borrowed a slurpee machine from a co worker and it was tons of fun to serve unlimited slurpees to our guests!
 Wheel barrel race!
We had new winners this year, the Fixsen's took home the Champion Cup!
We jumped right into summer break and enjoying the outside. I love going to the ledge and we had a perfect sunny day there with friends.
 Macy and Isla.
Macy also spent the first week of summer participating in "Dumbledore's Dormitories" a half day summer camp. She had a blast. She attended with Isla, and Stella, and our neighbour Kallie. She also made new friends, potions, and wands.
One day after camp Leslie took all my girls for the afternoon and Natasha and I went out for lunch and had a relaxing afternoon. I've got the best friends!
We explored more spray parks in the city.
Our friends the Purnell's invited us to their place. They live on Half Moon Lake.
We were all set to tube, but sadly the battery on the boat was dead and we weren't able to go out. But that didn't stop the fun!
They had kid kayaks that Rachel and Macy both loved going out on.
 Amy and I.
Below is Rachel.
We watched the Fixsen kids for a couple of days while Leslie was at Trek. One day we went on a park tour. We created a special system to rate each park based on various categories. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon.
I just love how Stella is so grumpy in this one! It was the end of the day for sure!
Birthday celebrations! I'm not sure how we didn't catch this, but I'm not 43, that should be 34.
We spent the afternoon swimming at the Pizzey pool. It was a beautiful day! We got Oodle Noodle for dinner and Tuxedo cake for dessert. Happy Birthday to me!
