Rare Recommendation

I have just finished reading this book and it has quickly become one of my favorites. It is a great read and a great love story. I don't usually recommend books or movies, but I would definitly recommend this one.

Crafting

When Mom was here in August she came to one of my card classes with me. The projects we did that month were ok, but when I went to class this month, I wished she could have come because these ones are so much better...
I love fall colours.
A cute and simple Christmas card.
This is done using a beverage coaster. All it is is designer paper covering the coster and the clip. It can be used to hold post-it notes, or a picture. Add some magnets and you can hang it on the fridge.

She's getting bigger...

Just a few photos of our favorite little girl.

Starting to take up a little more space in her car seat.
Relaxing with Mom.
Bright eyes - I love this one!

Yard Work

Now that I finally uploaded a bunch of pictures I have a few things to blog about. This summer we (well, actually mostly, if not all, Chris) spent more time working on our backyard. I think aside from a vegetable garden which may or may not happen next year, we are pretty much done what we wanted. Oh, except a fire pit which we will probably put in early next year. I love our yard and all the space we have. It will be so nice for Macy to play in.
These are some rose bushes I got from Mom and Dad for my birthday. Lots of blooms, even this late in the season. These pictures were only just taken today.
We got some ruebarb from Chris' parents garden and it has done really well in our garden. I can't wait to make reubarb crisp next year with it.
Chris also finished the gate and put up this shed. I think the shed is great for our yard and what we need. It is a pre-fab one from Canadian Tire, and while Chris is happy with it for now, he says next time he is building his own shed.

Asian Night Out

We have a great group of friends that we get together with about once a month for dinner and usually games. We take turns hosting the event at each of our places. For August we went to the Hara's for Asian night. We had amazing ginger beef, Japanese curry, rice, and sushi. It was a great meal (although I probably shouldn't have eaten it because Macy did not agree with everything). We then played some authentic Japanese games and had Japanese candy, we even got to dress up in Japanese clothing! It was a fun night out. Macy's first night out, she was great, as always!
