Two of a Kind

Even though Grandma and Grandpa hold their own adventures, I think Macy's greatest adventure was playing all the day long with buddy and cousin, Jacob. In fact, I am quite sure she is a little bit bored now that she doesn't have a constant playmate!
Jacob was great for getting into trouble with, who can get mad when TWO cute faces are involved?!
He was great to run around and climb with, after all, he's just the right size.
They both loved playing ball.
And playing on the slide.

He might not look it, but he did like it!
How could you not love that face?
We are missing you Jacob! Espcially since you tire my girl out just right.
Hope we see you again soon!!

Christmas Day!!

So here we are, finally doing some catch up, and we've made it to Christmas Day! We woke up and opened our stockings before church. Macy slept in a bit and really wasn't interested in her stocking or opening gifts. But Chris and I were. We must have been good because Santa left us toys, games, books, and other treats, and that was just the stocking! After church we were lucky and Macy napped while we enjoyed our traditional feast of a breakfast. Steak, eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast, fried cinnamon apples, and orange juice. I think I write that sentance every year and every year it always makes my mouth water! After brunch we finally got to the gift opening. Macy was very excited with her baby doll from Santa and stroller from us. She also enjoyed the books, clothes, balls, and other fun toys she was spoiled with.
'Hurry up and open it already Dad!!!'
Grandpa telling us about his superior socks!
No need to buy Jacob any gifts, he was quite happy with this box.
Where's Jacob?
'Here I am! Hahaha!'
My gift to Chris was quite the labour of love. I made a quilt of his old soccer jerserys he played in while growing up. It was a fun project to undergo, but a little stressful at times. I did it all while in Winnipeg the week before Chris came out. The sewing leaves something to desire, but overall I am very happy with it. And I think Chris was very happy with it too!
Chris with just some of the spoils of Christmas. No matter what Grandpa says, it was not a Slim Jim Christmas!
It was a great day and so nice to be able to spend it with Grandma and Grandpa Cutts and cousin Jacob. I feel so blessed to have a great family and to be able to spend these special moments with them, especially with Chris and Macy.

Mall of America

Shortly after Chris arrived in Winnipeg we took off with Macy to visit Uncle Tom, Aunt Julie, Eden, and Alice in Eden Prairie, MN. We had a wonderful time with them shopping, eating, movie watching, eating, and shopping! One morning we were lucky enough to get free passes to go to Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America. We had a blast!
Chris, Aunt Julie, Uncle Tom, and Eden...sorry Macy and Alice, you were cut out..oops!
This ride was much faster than we thought it would be, check out Macy's expression!
But it was nothing Eden couldn't handle!
I do not smell...the outer seats were a little bigger, and really just big enough to squeeze my way in.
Thanks for letting us visit. Tom and Julie and family were great hosts and we had so much fun. Next time we'll do West Edmonton Mall!

Grandma's Musical Adventures

One of Macy's favorite pastimes with Grandma was playing the piano. She loved listening to Grandma and adding in her own musical style as they played duets together.
Really though, she'd play with anyone, and Jacob was more that happy to accompany her!
These two are serious musicians!

Grandpa's Outdoor Adventures!

The best part of the day for Macy was definitly playing outside with Grandpa, who took her out almost everyday, and twice on some days!
Sledding with her cousins Eden and Jacob. Good thing Eden is there to hold Macy's mitts when she takes them off!
Her good buddy Jacob.
'I love snow!'
Getting the Royal treatment!

Appropriate Bath Time Moments

This eager babe loves the tub so much she'll climb in even with her clothes on!
