Starting the Summer off Right!

We hosted our 3rd Annual Backyard Games. This is a favorite of mine. I love the "friendly" competition. It was a cool and rainy start of July so I was worried we would have to cancel, but the weather cooperated and we had a great time. Sadly I don't have a picture, but Chris borrowed a slurpee machine from a co worker and it was tons of fun to serve unlimited slurpees to our guests!
 Wheel barrel race!
We had new winners this year, the Fixsen's took home the Champion Cup!
We jumped right into summer break and enjoying the outside. I love going to the ledge and we had a perfect sunny day there with friends.
 Macy and Isla.
Macy also spent the first week of summer participating in "Dumbledore's Dormitories" a half day summer camp. She had a blast. She attended with Isla, and Stella, and our neighbour Kallie. She also made new friends, potions, and wands.
One day after camp Leslie took all my girls for the afternoon and Natasha and I went out for lunch and had a relaxing afternoon. I've got the best friends!
We explored more spray parks in the city.
Our friends the Purnell's invited us to their place. They live on Half Moon Lake.
We were all set to tube, but sadly the battery on the boat was dead and we weren't able to go out. But that didn't stop the fun!
They had kid kayaks that Rachel and Macy both loved going out on.
 Amy and I.
Below is Rachel.
We watched the Fixsen kids for a couple of days while Leslie was at Trek. One day we went on a park tour. We created a special system to rate each park based on various categories. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon.
I just love how Stella is so grumpy in this one! It was the end of the day for sure!
Birthday celebrations! I'm not sure how we didn't catch this, but I'm not 43, that should be 34.
We spent the afternoon swimming at the Pizzey pool. It was a beautiful day! We got Oodle Noodle for dinner and Tuxedo cake for dessert. Happy Birthday to me!

Last Day of School and Preschool Graduation

The day of Rachel's preschool graduation she surprises us all and rides a two wheel bike on her own! She is so proud of herself and all winter has been waiting and waiting to go on bike rides again.
We were blessed to have Rachel in an amazing preschool program. Due to some speech delays she qualified for a preschool at Madonna School. I can't say enough how much I loved her teacher and the programs offered. Rachel progressed so much and finished the year with no speech delays and ready for kindergarten! They had a fancy party to celebrate.
 Singing songs with her class.
This isn't a great picture, but it has Teacher Ria in it. I love Teacher Ria. She was just what Rachel needed.
I picked up Macy and Kallie on their last day of school and treated them to Tim Horton's donuts. Summer is officially here!!
