Rachel

This little girl is already 6.5 months! The time is flying. We've finally come to pictures that are a little more recent, I'd say she is about 6 months in most of these.
I just think the facial expressions on both these girls is pretty funny.
Figuring out how to use the spoon.
Her first time eating solids, yummy rice cereal, well, maybe not that yummy, she doesn't exactly look that pleased.
Up close and personal. What a cutie!
Fun facts about Rachel:
- She is very smiley, always smiles when you get her in the morning and when she's up from naps.
- She loves her family and is always excited to see Mom and Dad and sister Macy.
- She rolls over now, and can go both ways, but seems most often to roll from back to front, and then get stuck there and squawk until you help her out.
- She is eating solids now and enjoying them. Mostly cereals, meats, and veggies. She eats the healthiest out of all of us!
- She loves being in the exersaucer and still in her bumbo.
- She puts everything in her mouth, so much more than Macy did, and is very grabby, she's got a strong grip!
- She is finding her voice, and loves talk to you.
- She is still a chunky baby, weighing in probably at about 18.5 lbs by now.
- Nicknames: Rachy Roo, Rachel Poo Poo (Macy's favorite, think back to wanting to name our elf, "Stinky, smelly, poopy, pants!), turkey.
- Areas with need for improvement: napping during the day. These are still really short and never regular.
She is such a joy to have in our family. We love you Rachel!

Projects

After we took down our Christmas decorations, the house was looking very bare. So it was time to do some projects and get some decorating done. I still have so much I want to do, but I am very happy with our little gallery wall. It is in the kitchen where there was lots of wall space. I took about all the frames I had and spray painted them. Fun and cheap! Like I said, love the results!

Easter

We had a nice Easter weekend back in April. We finished up some painting and moving a light fixture in the master bedroom, we went swimming, had a delicious meal at Grandparents Lamont, painted eggs, and were visited by the Easter Bunny!
Decorating eggs is a serious business!
We ran out of time before church, so Macy did her Easter egg hunt after (she is obviously more righteous than us, because she stays in her Sunday clothes all day long)!
Rachel with some new goodies from the Easter bunny.
Even Dora got an egg (as did Harry Potter, not pictured). Macy was hesitant to take Dora's, but finally did to get the candy inside.
Of course we are most grateful for our Savior and how Easter reminds us of His sacrifice and love. Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Jolly Jumper

Rachel at 4 months. She's actually not into the jolly jumper as much as Macy was, but she does love her exersaucer.

Stickers!

One of Macy's favorite pass-times, covering me with stickers!
(Sorry for the fuzzy picture)

Tent City

What do you do when it's still winter and you're stuck inside?
Build a blanket fort!
(These are from a couple of months ago, we've finally had summer come!)

Rachel's Blessing

Rachel was blessed February 16, 2014. We were lucky to have my Mom and Dad come out for it, as well as Chris' parents, Steve Lamont and his family, and the Leishman's.
It was a busy weekend. Saturday we spent the day at Millennium Place. We swan in the afternoon, Rachel's first swim. They had the inflatable obstacle up, which we all did (except Rachel), and all succeeded. After dinner at home, we went back to ice skate on the indoor rink. It was so much fun. Macy liked skating with the little strap-on 'skate's', but loved being pushed around in the little buggy. I definitely need to work on my skating skills, I was no where close to Chris and Grandpa's!
Sunday was the blessing. We had everyone over for a lunch of cold cuts, salads, veggies, and chips, with cookies and cream puffs for dessert.
Monday we went to Telus World of Science, and had Oodle Noodle for lunch.
I wish I had more pictures from some of the events, especially the blessing day, but here is what I've got.

Here I am getting ready to go into my jump, a double lutz...
but Mom missed it, so you only get to see my landing!!!

We're so glad to have Rachel in our family. She is sweet and smiley, and loves being around her family!
