Christmas Day!!

So here we are, finally doing some catch up, and we've made it to Christmas Day! We woke up and opened our stockings before church. Macy slept in a bit and really wasn't interested in her stocking or opening gifts. But Chris and I were. We must have been good because Santa left us toys, games, books, and other treats, and that was just the stocking! After church we were lucky and Macy napped while we enjoyed our traditional feast of a breakfast. Steak, eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast, fried cinnamon apples, and orange juice. I think I write that sentance every year and every year it always makes my mouth water! After brunch we finally got to the gift opening. Macy was very excited with her baby doll from Santa and stroller from us. She also enjoyed the books, clothes, balls, and other fun toys she was spoiled with.
'Hurry up and open it already Dad!!!'
Grandpa telling us about his superior socks!
No need to buy Jacob any gifts, he was quite happy with this box.
Where's Jacob?
'Here I am! Hahaha!'
My gift to Chris was quite the labour of love. I made a quilt of his old soccer jerserys he played in while growing up. It was a fun project to undergo, but a little stressful at times. I did it all while in Winnipeg the week before Chris came out. The sewing leaves something to desire, but overall I am very happy with it. And I think Chris was very happy with it too!
Chris with just some of the spoils of Christmas. No matter what Grandpa says, it was not a Slim Jim Christmas!
It was a great day and so nice to be able to spend it with Grandma and Grandpa Cutts and cousin Jacob. I feel so blessed to have a great family and to be able to spend these special moments with them, especially with Chris and Macy.
