Swimming Lessons

Every week I meant to take some pictures, but never did. So just imagine the pictures (and when you're imagining me at my lesson, imagine I've 3 sizes smaller and not so pale!)
Both Macy and I did a round of swimming lessons beginning the end of January and finishing mid March. These were Macy's first lessons. She loved them and excelled. She went for a half hour on Saturday mornings, her class was small, and her teacher was Steven. She passed the 'Sea Otter' level with flying colours and is registered for 'Salamander' starting in April.
You did read write, I also took swimming lessons, it was an adult stroke improvement class. I absolutely loved it! Initially I thought it might be a little more advanced than it was (half the guys in my class could barely swim 2 lengths), but since swimming is such an individual sport, it didn't matter at all. My teacher was great and I learned how to properly do all the strokes: front stroke, back stroke (one of my favorites), elementary back stroke, breast stroke, and butterfly. I attempted the butterfly my last class, and I'll tell you, I could barely do a length! It was hard and tiring, but so fun. I pictured myself looking like Michael Phelps! The last class my teacher even humoured my requests and we got to swing on the tarzan rope, jump off the diving boards, and go on the waterslide!
Swimming is a sport I've grown to love as an adult. It is so relaxing and such a good workout. I loved having the time to myself and have missed my nights at the pool since my lessons ended.
